your writing do's and don't's the week of september 13, 2026

We are out of eclipse season, in a New Moon phase — which is to say, we are gaining speed, increasing momentum, waxing in every way.

We’ve got two and a half weeks before Venus Retrograde officially arrives (followed by Mercury Rx at the end of October).

That’s two and a half weeks of clear runway — or, as clear of an astrological runway to get shit off the ground as we’re gonna get until mid-November, aka Holiday Season, at which point nothing is happening (in US publishing, at least) until 2027.

So let’s fucking go.

I rewrote the intro for my proposal this morning and THAT SHIT FLOWED.Thanks for the push this week, Jeanna. I have moved mountains with much less effort than usual. 💪🎉

It’s Friday on the east coast of Australia — the moon is halfway through Sagittarius and currently sitting between my Mercury-Neptune and Sun-NN … and the synopsis for my novel’s sequel has literally just poured out of me. It doesn’t look like anything I’d show anyone (yet!) — but it’s there.

I have never written a synopsis before a project. I’m aware though, if I want to sell my debut as a two-book deal, I need to show where I’d take a second book. And in June, while away for a long weekend, the foundation for it surfaced in the most heady way.

So well done Sagg moon!! Building a bridge between the two edges of my 9th house stellium. May need to pay closer attention to this in coming months.
