Full moons are not generally for starting brand new things, but for marking milestones or culminations in existing work. The Full Moon is where we meet our work in progress and honestly take stock of where we are and where we want to be.

Specifically, this moon continues to develop and otherwise bring to fruition things we were beginning or re-committing to around the New Moon in Aries on April 17th. Six months ago, we talked about how failure is essential to gain momentum, how mapping our own try-fail cycles can teach us about our process.

In that newsletter, I shared how I was in the depths of drafting the version on my novel that I’d ultimately send to my agent. This Full Moon finds me back in drafting — but this time revising with her notes. Over this Aries lunar cycle (which for me highlights the part of my chart that has to do with everyday writing!), I’ve gone through the process of submitting my work to her, getting feedback, and digesting it — and now, revisiting the work, revising some of it and re-writing the entire last quarter.

Such is the Full Moon process. Sometimes we are fully ending or letting go of something, sure. But more often, full moons mark turning points, pivots, next steps.

Sitting at 3 degrees, the moon is separating from a conjunction to Neptune and sextile to Pluto in Aquarius, is actively applying to a sextile with Uranus in Gemini, and will later make a conjunction to Saturn in Aries.
