ICYMI, I’m teaching an introduction to astrology class in November! I’m so excited!
“So You Want to Learn Astrology” is for folks who KNOW there’s something to astrology, but
don’t know where to start
are overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information and want an expert to personally walk them through what matters and what doesn’t
don’t care about the technical terms and just want to know WHAT IT MEANS for everyday life
need a compassionate, conversation-oriented classroom setting
We will cover the foundations of what astrology is and how to use it as well as the tripod of essentials on which everything else is built: the planets, the signs, and the houses. The class will take place on Zoom over four weeks on Sundays in November (the 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 30th), with a total of six (!!) hours of both informal lecture AND live Q&A.
The ~singular most requested~ type of content on the annual reader survey (now complete!) was for 101, beginner-friendly material. You shared that you are often confused by technical jargon and could use a refresher on, say, what the moon means. You also shared that your desire to learn the basics is driven by a desire to apply them in practical, everyday ways.
In the year of our lord 2025, most folks aren’t trying to ~nerd out~ about astrology — you just want to understand enough to implement its benefits in your everyday life. This class is for the folks who want to know both what astrology means AND what to do with it.

I can’t attend live — will you teach it again in 2026?
No, I will not be teaching this live again.
The recordings, including both the lesson and the Q&A, will be available for download and purchase on my website as my resident 101 offering.
Those of you who’ve been around for a while know that I only teach the basics once every few years; some of you have been around since the OG “Astrology for Writers: How to Make Your Chart Work For You” class! I do like to periodically update my 101 offering so as to better reflect the development of my current thinking about astrology, and this will be that placeholder for the near future.
All class sessions will be recorded and available for download. If you can’t catch it live, purchasing the recording will be the way.
I also want to say that it is RARE that folks can come to *every single live class* of a multi-week class or container, and I don’t want Good Student (TM) brain to have you opting out of a useful class that you can catch on replay when your schedule eases up. That goes for both my classes and other people’s!
What if I only want to come to part of the class? I feel okay about the planets, but it’s the houses I really need a refresher on.
This is only available as a 4-class bundle.
I did consider breaking up the classes and having them available individually, but that would mean that:
a) they would cost more individually (defeating the purpose of 2025 pricing / trying to make these more financially accessible)
b) I’d be adding an absolutely ungodly amount of administrative workload for what was already a very-very discounted offer in what is, for me as a self-employed person, a very busy month.
Even if you only ~need~ one of the tripod legs (planets-signs-houses), this class is STILL a wildly good deal. $99 is usually what I’d charge for one live 90-minute class… let alone SIX HOURS ~and~ live Q&A! That comes out to a little less than $25 a class. And like. There are tickets to book events here in New York City that cost more than that.
If you only want to attend one or two of the classes live, that is more than okay — I’d still encourage you to sign up! You’ll have the recordings to reference in the future.
